Toverland broadcasts live opening of their largest expansion ever

Next week, the theme park opens its new entrance called Port Laguna and a new theme area called Avalon. The VIP-opening on Thursday 5 July 2018 will be broadcasted live from 19:15 hours via Toverland’s own YouTube-channel. Besides the official opening ceremony, viewers also get to see the first onride images of Toverland’s brand new attractions.

The livestream takes viewers on a tour through the Mediterranean Port Laguna and the mysterious Avalon, including the first onride images of boat attraction Merlin’s Quest and the spectacular rollercoaster Fēnix. The presentation lies in the hands of Tessa Maessen, second generation of the family business. “This livestream makes it possible for everybody to enjoy the pre-opening of the largest expansion in the history of Toverland. We are very proud of our new areas and want to give our viewers a first impression of its grandeur and quality”, Maessen explains. The broadcast also contains interviews with Toverland-owner Jean Gelissen, general director Caroline Kortooms and head designer Peter van Holsteijn.

A magical future

From Saturday 7 July 2018 are the new areas Port Laguna and Avalon open to all visitors. With its seven hectares, it is the largest expansion in the history of the 17-year-old theme park. It involves an investment of 35 million euros. Toverland’s ambition for the next few years is to break that magical barrier of 1 million visitors. To achieve this, the theme park intends to increase the length of stay by building new expansions and opening a four-star hotel resort. The future is going to be magical.
