“speechless”: Theme park Toverland announces winner of membership passes for 18 years

To celebrate its 18th birthday, Theme park Toverland recently started a search for the most magical memory of 18 years of Toverland. The theme park received almost 700 entries and chose a top 18 from which everyone could vote. The entry that received most votes was pronounced winner yesterday. Wendy Vanbrabant from the Belgian village Spalbeek is the lucky winner. Toverland surprised her with 5 membership passes that remain valid for 18 years. The surprise video can be watched on Toverland’s YouTube channel.

With a photo book containing her most beautiful memories of Toverland, Wendy Vanbrabant received a convincing majority from a total of 10,000 voters. Wendy has been visiting the theme park since 2003 and her 65-page photo book contains lots of memories from her most magical moments at Toverland. Wendy is really happy that she has won: “I am speechless. I was hoping for it, but the top 18 contained so many other beautiful entries. When the pass expires in 18 years, I’ll make another photo book with 18 years of new memories.” Wendy will give the other passes to her family and her best friend. “We’ll very much enjoy it together!”

18 years of Toverland

In 18 years’ time, Toverland characterised itself by a fast growth: from one roofed theme area in 2001 to a stunning 6 theme areas – 2 of them are roofed – with 35 attractions and shows in 2019. Last year a record number of 812,000 guests visited Toverland. They gave the theme park a score of 9 out of 10 for guest satisfaction. Toverland’s ambition for the coming years is to break that magical number of 1 million visitors. To achieve this, the theme park has plans to increase the length of stay by opening new expansions and a four-star hotel resort. The future will also create many magical memories
